3. What makes Wish & Hint different from other wishlist apps?
Wish & Hint combines personal wishlists with curated gift discovery. In addition to creating and sharing wishes, users can discover new brands, save products, and find inspiration for birthdays, Christmas, weddings, anniversaries, and other special occasions.
4. Is Wish & Hint an online shop?
Wish & Hint is primarily a wishlist platform. In addition, users can discover gift ideas and products. Some products link directly to partner businesses, while others serve as inspiration for personal wishlists.
5. Does Wish & Hint support small businesses?
Yes. Wish & Hint works with small businesses, artisans, artists, and independent brands. The platform aims to give unique products greater visibility while promoting thoughtful gifting.
6. Can I discover Swiss brands on Wish & Hint?
Yes. Many of the brands and businesses featured on Wish & Hint are based in Switzerland. The platform places special emphasis on quality, individuality, and carefully curated products.
7. How does the app work?
With Wish & Hint, you can select wishes from various categories, create a personal wishlist (Hintbox), and send a Hint in the form of a code to someone of your choice—whether it’s your partner, friends, or family. You can choose from a wide variety of categories, including flowers, clothing, shoes, rings (including ring size), and much more.
8. How do I share my wishlist with someone?
Every user has a personal Hint Code. Simply send your code to the person you want to share your wishlist with. They can enter the code in the app and view your wishes.
9. What is a Hint Code?
The Hint Code is your personal access code for sharing your wishlist. Anyone you share the code with can access your Hintbox and discover gift ideas that match your wishes.
10. How do I send my Hint Code?
You can find your personal code in your profile or in your Hintbox. You can copy it and send it via message, email, social media, or directly through the “Send Hint” feature.
11. Who can see my data and wishes?
Only people you share your Hint Code with can access your Hintbox. Your personal data is not shared and is protected according to our privacy policy.
12. What are personalized wishes?
In addition to specific products, you can add open-ended wishes such as “a relaxing surprise gift,” “a special experience,” or “something handmade.” This gives the gift giver creative freedom while still matching your taste.
13. Do I have to pay to use the app?
No. The app is free for individuals. Some premium features may be introduced in the future, but creating wishlists and sending Hints will remain free.
14. Can I use the app without registering?
No. To protect your data and provide a personalized experience, a free registration with your email address is required.
15. Will I receive a notification when someone enters my code and views my wishlist?
Yes. If notifications are enabled, you will receive a notification when someone views one of your wishes.
16. How can I turn notifications on or off?
Under Settings → Notifications, you can choose whether you would like to receive push notifications when someone opens your list or views a wish.
17. Which languages is the app available in?
The app is currently available in German, French, English, and Italian.
18. Where is the app available?
The app is currently available in Switzerland and can be used on iOS and through a web browser.
19. Can I delete a wish?
Yes. In your Hintbox, you can delete any wish by swiping left or tapping the trash icon. Please note that deleted wishes cannot be restored.
20. Can I see which wishes have already been fulfilled and share them?
Yes. Your Hintbox includes a “Fulfilled Wishes” list. When you mark a wish as fulfilled by tapping the gift icon, a congratulatory message appears along with the option to share the moment.
21. What should I do if I lose my Hint Code?
You can always find your personal Hint Code in your profile or Hintbox. If you log out and forget the code, simply log back in—the code will remain the same.
22. Can I delete or change my Hint Code?
Yes. You can regenerate your Hint Code at any time. Once a new code is created, the old one becomes invalid.
23. Can I delete my data if I no longer want to use the app?
Yes. In your profile, you will find the option “Delete Account.” All your data and wishlists will be permanently removed.
24. Where can I submit ideas or suggestions for improvement?

25. I am a business and would like to become a partner. What do I need to do?
You can become a partner by signing up for one of our partnership models.
Sales Model (Commission-Based)
Your products or experiences are presented on Wish & Hint and can be discovered through the platform. You handle payment processing directly with the customer. A commission is only charged when a sale is successfully completed.
Partner Plan (Membership)
Your products or experiences are presented on Wish & Hint. You can use your own sales channels or showcase your offers directly through the platform. No sales commission applies; instead, a fixed monthly membership fee is charged.
